Need to get back to some old school management that worked before.

You need to either be at the wellhead or in support of someone who is.

The equipment needs to match the needs of the end users needs thru collaboration with end users and customers.

Too many folks too far from the wellhead make counterproductive decisions and too much blue sky for the current market.

Under general direction, participates by providing fundamental engineering knowledge for the purpose of developing, applying, and optimizing operation of a PSL’s technology.

Proficient in the selection and application of standard materials and components.

Ability to identify and select new or alternate materials for special applications.

Must be able to develop both a detailed and holistic understanding of a complex system involving mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems.

Ability to comprehend and institute fundamental control theory principles of complex systems involving mechanical, electrical, and fluid dynamics.

Knowledgeable of sensory and SCADA systems.

Must have a basic understanding of remote communications and common cellular/satellite data backhaul.

Function as the technical SME and champion technical tools such as product modeling/simulation software and real-time monitoring applications.

The candidate will be required to have a STEM degree.

Targeted engineering disciplines are electrical, mechanical, and systems.

Petroleum, biological/biosystems, chemical, and physics engineering degrees will be considered if the candidate can show strength in electrical and/or mechanical fundamentals.

Industry experience should be greater than 4 years.

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 15 years’ experience.

Experience working with an E&P company, particularly with production activities and/or artificial lift systems will be given more consideration.

Field experience or direct experience with field personnel is a plus.

Advanced STEM degrees such as an MS or PhD will also give the candidate more consideration.

Primary job responsibilities

reorg makes sense, too many pockets of duplicate functions due to psl divisioning. move to create resource pools, eliminate redundancies in engr, purch, manuf and allowing big reduction in management efforts.
