Save your money, keep you network up and your skills sharp. You need to put the effort in to keep them sharp because COP is the not the kind of environment that demands hard skills ( there a lot more kissing involved there). After too many years I would've turned to mush. I like being evaluated solely by my immediate supervisor based on the results I am actually achieving, problems solved and not that stupid grading system where people I never work with got a say in how I was graded. I saw it myself. The system favors putting out many shallow feelers which generates a "buzz" around your name for people and not actual hard results. Good bye and Good riddance.
