Any news about two days furlough program in Canada, is it extended through Q3? Any additional hits planned in Q3?

Get out now. If things do pick up the LAST ones to get their money back will be the workers. Do you really think that they give 2 f---s about any of you.
For the record....U.S. cannot get the same furlough as the Canadians...as our health care and unemployment laws are not the same!! Read up on the laws before you post such rubbish! I do feel bad for the Canadians ...nothing with Weatherford is fair!
But don't knock down Americans for this. UNDERSTAND THE LAWS WE HAVE HERE!!!!
It is not just Weatherford it is the entire oil and gas industry in North America. We improved fracking so much that it oversupplied the market.
I'm trying to quit and leave the industry but I just can't find anything.
Canada had 4 furlough days a month in Q2, going back to 2 days per month as someone mentioned in this thread. Many people were or going into 59 days temporary layoff at least once in the last 12 months. As for permanent layoff we lost the count!
Our location in the US is on 2 furloughs a month. Will probably continue through 2017. Also laid off 60% of labor. Its not just Canada feeling the pinch. It's the entire industry. Cheers

That equals 1 day per pay period. I personally would have been happy to take 2 or even 3 but I will be laid off soon.
Not all, but some areas in U.S are already on furlough...2 days a month. And others are still receiving their normal pay. Total B.S
Canada (well wireline) recived an email indicating we would be moving back to just one furlough per pay period.
