Would some forms of leadership in this company step in and fix HR in Hamburg. Corruption has spread. Go there and see for yourself. There needs to be a investigation into all the stuff that is going on. Hr is meant to be there for employees and work with GM and be voice of reason. Not to have GM tell her what to do like a puppet. HR is never in the store and never there for weekend employees but we have to work weekends. They have a staff of 4 and none are ever there and always ignorant towards anyone that is not there friend or in there gang.

You mad bro?
Even worse. A backstabbing cut throat hourly employee.
Yeah there were only 100+ employees eating hotdogs as well. I guess that was too hard for you to figure out. I'm hourly too. This is really old and sad. Keep hiding behind your anonymous messages.
I'm hourly buddy. Been here a long time. Just sick of all the whining and complaining all of the time. Its because of people like you that we don't get more nice things. You mad bro?
Maybe you should reread the previous posts.
It is painfully obvious that there are managers responding to these posts.
The most recent post referencing hot dogs make me think this is probably the GM in Hamburg. There is no reference to hot dogs in any of the posts.
And, there is someone with upstairs office information posting.
So, when we go, you go. The company won;t keep your dead weight around much longer. So there should be tick tock tick tock and a third tick tock for the managment.
It's a shame you didn't choke on one of those hot dogs. My guess would be that you were able to swallow it whole. At least a 5 year old can appreciate something. Your time is almost up. Tick tock tick tock....
Hamburg management found out that their store has the lowest morale of all but four other stores in the Cabela's chain. So to raise the morale of their employees they decided to bribe us with cake and ice cream. Am I five years old, Scott? Want to really raise morale in your store? Pull on your tan for once and chip in to help your woefully understaffed departments. Maybe if your outfitters saw you greeting customers at the door, getting harrangued for the long lines at the cash registers, assisting departments that only have one staff member to oversee them or helping unload a truck they might offer you a bit of respect. Forcing employees to self terminate because corporate says we need open availability then scheduling a handful of those you have left to cover a store as big as Hamburg on a holiday weekend isn't the way to ingratiate yourself with the outfitters. It doesn't earn you loyalty and it trashes your reputation as an employer, in case you were wondering why you've had such a hard time hiring.
Maybe before you open your mouth and start chopping people up, you should know what you're talking about. As far as HR goes, only Yovish and Peel are the only HR people. According to what you say, all the mgrs. that work up there are also in HR. I know you won't believe this because you know everything. Except how to get a better job.
ya'll need a hobby.
The rest of The Cabelas stores can suck it. If it weren't for hamburg carrying your asses you'd be gone a long time ago. So when we hurt the rest of you should hurt. And for the whackjob saying we don't have 4 hr reps you can suck a railroad spike. We sure as hell do have 4hr reps. And if HR isn't their title then I don't know why they are up there.
Yes why doesn't Krause, Szlegia, Yovish and peele work weekends? Heard peel complaining about having to hand applications out.
Isn't that part of her job? Don't want them to get upset by having to do anything extra!
Keep in milking so your have an excuse!
HR is in denial thinking that it's only one person that hates them. It is way more than just one. Open up you eyes and look around and stop hiding out on your office!
The HR department has always been helpful. I hate seeing their names drug through the mud. This is very childish. If you are unhappy, please leave the company and stop the hateful words. You will have to live with your words/actions not the company. It's very unfortunate this site even exists and lives allowed to be put out on display. What a company does is 1 thing but what you are doing is disgraceful.
Whoever is complaining needs to find another job. Whatever the problem or situation is management will not fix it. Speaking from experience. Had coworker that horsed around for 8 hours and worked overtime. Management ignored problem.
What happened in Hamburg again? There is really only 2 in HR with another 2 or so that knows everyone else's business. Been that way for years. How does one get this to stop?
Hamburg is not fine and has not been for several years. It has nothing to do with what's going on company wide either. The leadership (GM, HR) for one does NOT and has not done their job description, not even close!!! If everyone from Hamburg shared their story or experience you probably still wouldn't believe it. For those of you not there or ever in a situation that's being spoke of how can you even make a comment taking sides?
Hamburg is fine this is just one person that can't let go and only sees everyone else as the problem. They should be known as the Hamburglar.
I've got a great idea..... Let's just keep on opening more stores maybe that will fix everything....
I work in a Texas store and I can tell you that there are not 4 people in your HR department. And once again you look like a punch of fools.
Hang on here boys and girls..........Remember we're all on the same team......and I use "team" with a grin....We feel for you at corporate....we really do.....whats happening there is a shame and 60 people lost their income.....I get it.......but over the last 2 years remember how many "reductions in force" the stores have had to endure......multiply that by 55 plus stores and at the retail level we've lost 10 times your 60....I'm not trying to deflect the damage this is going to cause the families....and our hearts go out to them.....I'm fairly certain that you don't have to endure the threats....bullying.....intimidation....entitlements and the garbage we deal with at the store fronts on a daily basis..........we all have our issues......the entire Cabelas work force is a crossroad and not one of us feels safe...... Hamburg is is not the only store in crisis.......what they are dealing with is happening at EVERY STORE IN THE COMPANY........so before we go bashing Hamburg take a look at the big picture....I'm not at the Hamburg location......I'm at an Indiana store that is worse than what you are hearing from Pennsylvania.........Good luck to all those who were let go today....I hope you find something soon.......I'n certain we'll be right behind you
There are only 2 people in the HR departments. Don't assume all those people work for HR because they do not. Get your story straight Hamburg. You are clueless as always.
Hamburg, not to minimize your pain or whatever, but 60 people lost their jobs today. 60 people had to go home and tell their families that they don't have a place to work. 60 people with skills that make their chances of employment without selling their house and moving a pipe dream. 60 people who will more than likely run out of pay before they find a new job. Our hearts are with THEM today. If the rest of you back east can't figure out how to deal with the management you've got, take your juice box and go home.
