I work at the biggest private oil operator in the world and we are not using Sperry for any current drilling service. It's either SLB or BHI.

The reactive nature of this company is a measurement of failure. If you can't forecast the products that you need then you are not deserving of your title. Management needs to promote pro activity with development s and not rely on tech to make up. Plenty of losers in tech mammen he willing to ageeesivel drive a flawed direction. Get use to being behind until we are truly proactive, not just ordering long lead part but concerted effort with gauging market ahead
Sounds like there is a communication problem from the field to the R&D. Too bad people are envious of those with enough ambition to get an education. The haters shouldn't be at Sperry, it doesn't help the company progress.

I allow you to dump it into a liquid waste container. I have noticed that engineering doesn't allow for the real world, and once they have designed something it has to be perfect right? It couldn't possibly fail or not work properly. Real engineers take note of that and change it so that it works or performs even better. That's why you're whole work force can't come from a college class. Their knowledge is in that book and it doesn't have a chapter on changing.

what i do know from someone who worked at a company GE took over, that all middlemanagement were let go after a takeover.
Noted, as the items below are in rough alignment with the list. As is the case some have had to suffer the consequences of the failings of such things. But now with an appointed set of sharper resources the improvements should undoubtedly come to fruition. Monday is a new day.
