SLB unethical procedures

I´ve been aware of this procedure where the company knows that the client will not require a particular employee to be on the rig for let´s say the next 3 months, so the company decide to put him on "Suspended employment" with no salary and after this time call him back to resume the contract.

With this procedure they don´t have to pay base salary for the time the employee is at home.

Don´t you think this is unethical? What kind of company does this kind of bs?! And they take pride of taking good care of their employees!!

Yes they are screwing you due to hard times and because they can. Before the bust they would keep paying you.
