Should i even approach my manager to ask if he would take me back? I was very recently laid off and unemployed.
What are the Pros and Cons to this? Looking for some serious advice

Forget them people and move on with your life.
Grow one cojones, keep what little is left of your dignity and get out in he real world. There is much more to life than working for a robot company although I suspect that you have not got the vision and need your hand holding. Grow a pair.

Always go in with a plan B. We need quest events reported... You got nothing to lose but they can't add headcount so go apply somewhere else
