great how individuals are told their jobs are at risk before the reps have their first meeting with archie, I am sure all suggestions will be carefully stusied before company needs overide them.
Consultation with shop reps is the legal and right thing to do. I wouldn't trust the office rep though she's a company woman thru & thru
Thats it pick on the ones that volunteered to help us all, you retards save youre comments for the idiot bosses.
shop reps getting training ? when archie says anything everyone says aye ! or am i being cynical bald eagle and the trish teaching you pish please stand up for yourselves, but wait this is arbroath home of the two faced feckers.
Good luck to the shop floor reps , not that it will make a blinding but of difference, hr and management will still do as they please
Definitely not a fair process. Believe me I know for sure.
low intelligence ? high on opinion ? lazy ? try and narrow it down who you are having a go at. We are all in the pooh together apart for the school friends, relatives or golf mates of our senior pgl. no such thing as a fair process look at the last round, how did some of the arbroath old boys survive?
Racism is just an excuse for the ignorant. Do you feel threatened by workers who originate from outwith the uk? Are you perhaps lacking in certain areas? Probably low on intelligence and high on opinion, but most definitely lazy, old, jaded and one of the "boys". You never did get round to growing up did you?
As the hardest worker in the plant I feel I will be ok when the decisions are made, the ones I fear the worst for is my fellow pole and his friends in the goods in block offices, perhaps if they snitch some more they might be saved
Ha sorry for plant manager, I don't get that. It's him who puts the clowns in place, 1 clown leader and the team of clowns who do what there told. Feel sorry for the good folks who are about to be paid off and the ones who've already gone. Believe me Arbroath is a cluster fck.
Does HR understand UK employment law? Considering this isn't the 1st redundancy you'd think they had it sussed by now. Considering they ballsed up the last one you'd think they'd learn from their mistakes and get it right this time.
I don't think that HR in Arbroath is very competent at all. Like the rest of the management in Arbroath skills and ability don't come into it. I feel sorry for the plant manager with these clowns all working under him
HR has a dampon from wielding her authority once again. Lets hope this time she actually read the book.
Has the election begun yet? To elect an employee rep. Mind, this has nothing to do with trying to mitigate job losses and such like. It has everything to do with UK employment law and red tape. So why don't they just hurry the fcuk up and pick someone at random and put us out of our misery and let us get on with our lives.
Who is doing the scoring? And who is adding it all up? I sincerely hope it's not the same person who does the weekly efficiency figures, the figures that show a cell full of machines with chucks that are never turning but an efficiency of 106%
God help us all under this management. I've heard rumours Arbroath is winding down for closure, well under this current management team that's a certainty, just a matter of 5 months or 5 years
I'd love to see Karma at play here, but i fear we'll keep the old faces ,the ones that have been here forever with thier narrow and bigoted views. The saddening aspect of this, is that we will lose brighter talents and better people in order to keep them.
Wonder what facade the scoring criteria will take this time? Last golf score card? Your schmoozing capacity? What make of car you have or even perhaps where you live?
We can only hope that some fairness and respect is shown, but i doubt it.
Get rid of anyone with 'specialist' in their job title. From what I can gather it's used as a way to promote and give pay rises to friends. From what I can see the only thing 'specialist' about these people is their ability to kiss assand be a yes man/woman
Because the successful people at Halliburton are the ones devoid of personality, devoid of emotion, and so easily led like a sheep.... Aww, that's why the UK HQ is in Aberdeen ;)
You guys will find out in 3 weeks if your job is to be cut. That might not sound great having people worried for this amount of time to hear bad news. However it's ok for us, we've been at Arbroath a long time and we're local, we know our jobs are fine, and we had PPR's to finish and a couple of golf outings to organise, the employee rep had to wait there was no other way we were too busy doing the above to think about replacing the employee rep who was made redundant the last time. Anyway the people at risk should be thankful, it's an extra 3 weeks pay.
Remember now, we want nothing but 100% from this moment on. We do not believe that worry over paying mortgages and bills in the future should be any sort of distraction to a Halliburton employee.
Remember if you se it you own it on this journey to zero (journey to zero employees?)
So make sure when you're walking up and down the stairs you hold on to the handrail, or pause for a moment and take a safety moment at the top of the stairs.
A weeks pay and a couple of pair of smokies for every year worked
Anyone know what kind of package is being offered at Arbroath if made redundant ?
Kick oot the idle wasters, one trick ponies and any PTL over 20 stone.
nonsense! someone with 24 years experience went last time!
All depts will be hit, apart from management PGL/PTL's cos they're needed in the same numbers even though they have 70% less work and 30% less staff to manage. Anyone with 15+ years service will be ok as it'll be too expensive to let them go
Any idea which dept???
