ENROLLMENT MANAGERS finding reasons to fire EA'S in April !!!

I was fired in April and I think Enrollment Managers were told to fire someone on their team...HR Dept told me they fired 30 EA'S in April....I think they are trying to find reasons to fire you or write you up so they don't have to pay you a severance pkge in the next few mths...what are your thoughts? To me it is very obvious that is what they are trying to do......share your thoughts.

why do you think Enrollment Managers have one on ones in a room with the door closed? Share your thoughts. Is this happening to your team? Too shady for me...don't want other EA's overhearing threatening comments !!

Absolutely! You must record ANY contact with your EM or higher. I do it all the time... just know your state laws. In California, recordings are not permissible in court - but there is transcription software that you can purchase to be able to repeat what was said accurately in a meeting with an EM or ED if you do have to go to court.

MY BEST ADVICE FOR ENROLLMENT ADVISORS IF YOU THINK THIS IS HAPPENING TO YOU SECRETLY RECORD OR VIDEO YOUR ONE ON ONES WITH YOUR ENROLLMENT MANAGER !! PROOF ON HOW YOU ARE BEING TREATED ! SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS...

If there are enough substantial complaints the EEOC for one may have to do formal investigation... going in for interviews and checking records and they may find patterns of behavior... increases in terminations targeting certain types of employees.

My Enrollment Manager was submitting IT tickets to pull "old emails" and "calls" in trying to find reasons to fire me of which I did get fired ! Anyone in Enrollment or other depts have this happen to you??? Share your thoughts? They are finding reasons to fire you so they don't have to pay a severance pkge.

Since UoPX workers do not have a contract, they can be fired at will. There are some EEOC safeguards, but they are very limited. UoPX workers have won before, but the cases were well documented (e.g. non-Mormons were not treated fairly).

The same thing happened to me in July. I worked for 8 years and they found a reason to let me go. I had my degree from UOP and the used that against me."Promoted" me to a sh$tty team with a terrible manager then I got two weeks severance for 8 years of service. Luckily there are better companies out there where they value their employees

So true...get your documentatuon in order before departure and if unfairly fired go to appropriate agencies....power in numbers..they want the slates clean to get buyout approved. Many long term employees SUDDENLY having performance issues... Nobody knows what the performance. standards are anymore because they have changed so frequently in the last 2 years and good luck finding a quality manager. wouldn't surprise me if there was a quota assigned to managers to reduce Workforce. double edged sword with less staff you need less managers. Their image is destroyed and ethics declining to accomplish the buyout.

This is happening across the board. They are going straight to written with no verbal or DM.
