heard last week forced retirements are being kicked at. Some of these old timing Mgrs might have to finish off their last few years at Home Depot working isle 8. These are sad times here in NAM......

We are truly cutting into the core of the team now, the people being released now were probably highly rated on the first round of grading, but it is a numbers game now and nobody is immune, scary times which brings it closer to home.
SLB is a good company to work for, they had good benefits, pay was ok. When hard times hit, and you didn't suck ass well, then it's a numbers game. HR says, I need 5 people from your dept. Guess what? if you gave me a hard time, all the time? you're gone.
We are protecting the core. Well if the core will not be used for a few more years the. What are you protecting Mr. K ? They will all be leaving by the time we start to move forward.
This began from the start of 2015... At least they got something for their years of labor.
if one is offered, I would have to take that as "writing on the wall". With Saudi working towards 11 mil bbl by summer, I don't think there is much opportunity on believing you'll make it. Something is better than nothing...
These have been happening since the start in many places, people are offered early retirement, some accept, others do not, only to be released shortly after, then they ask about early retirement to be told that is no longer on the table
