So what's up with these new jobs that are posted on the Weatherford website daily? Isn't the company going through layoffs?

To get the labor certification for H1Bs (to show that there are no US citizens available for these jobs)
With all the pay cuts the Canadians need to hire their spouses to make up the difference... Maybe
Sure, why not? They may be short of HR folks to do the paperwork and security guards to walk out more employees. Nonoe of those laid off so far qualify.
Probably to hire more Canadians.
