Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

Do you honestly think layoffs are over?!?

For first quarter, energy companies including ours have reported losses in devisions for the first time in years, or ever. Additionally, an even further saturation of middle eastern oil will be damaging the market over the next few weeks. Companies are still hemorrhaging money even after all the previous layoffs and yet some claim "no more layoffs." Wow.

I think there was a point that was missed in the last reply. Everyone knows that there will be an eventual, continuous rebound. The point I believe being made is that layoffs are not over. The market gradual incline we're currently experiencing is typical this time of year in any market, good or bad. Once the beginning of the year boom settles is when you can really grade the market, ask anyone who's been invested for a long period of time. Unfortunately, if you've been following the reports, this next telling quarter is supposed to really suffer and this does not translate well for those of us left in the industry.

We are witnessing the begining of the boom again. When it was busting in Nov 14 people like you said its gonna rebound.

In any case the boom now is $60
