Hear layoffs on the horizon. Get your life vests on!
Interesting to me, OI paid 230 million cash (decreasing their cash position at the beginning of uncertain times) for a small survey company with not a ton of international experience or presence. Same end result could be accomplished with millions less by staffing a department with competent, more experienced survey personnel? OI recently released the head of C&C and replaced many office personnel with Fugro personnel. Interesting moves for a giant like OI. Will be interesting to see how OI manages the remainder of the year. Moves like this completely puzzle me. I see more layoffs in the near future.
