Haha! Pay is 3rd worldish I agree 100%. But America is and was always about profits. That's capitalism. The lesser evil. Evil nonetheless.
When you take a college business course you study companies like Apple, Walmart, Toyota, and HP. So when Halliburton a service company fires a manager with service knowledge and replaces them with a kid that was trained on sales you end up where we are.
And that is our predicament as a service company. Service is work which requires people 3rd worldish or not.
