Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Severance is must.....however you must ensure it is in writing at time of lay off.

So I was released on May 1st, as soon as the BHI/HAL Merger was canned. I saw it coming and made some moves before hand. I was able to negotiate my work VISA in work country for 90 days post lay off. After receiving the notification and starting the pay out process, the lines of communication went dead from Houston. Could not get any answers or anything from Houston or FDUNPAYROLL. Eventually went route of sending email to EXCOMM member who sent to the right person. Turns out the mobility coordinator handling my repatriation was LAID OFF as well. My case was lost on the paper mountain.

Handling all the payouts now 45 days later is an effing mess. Turns out no one submitted my severance pay out papers. So my 15 years, 13 weeks of pay out, is being contested. Freaking jokers are holding our money and earning interest while playing fast and lose with their shares of the company.

I loved working at HAL and never thought I hate the company. However; Dave Lizard, Joe Blaimey, Jeff Miller Time and the rest of the alcoholics running this company have truly screwed it into the ground and broke it off.

Good luck guys and gals. This is the last downturn for me, I have gone into the consulting business and can now break it off in HAL, SCHL, and BHI.
