Worked 39 years for Halliburton. When Mr. Halliburton flying H was removed as the company logo. It ceased to be the company I hired on with. Not about pride or loyalty. From management to the field personal look we pay your salary. Be glad you have a job. Management seems to forget who generates the revenue. On-site well service. Dick and Dave took a great company . And ran it into the ground.

The mis management is taught to be this way by the HR department. DO NOT get involved with your subordinates, DO NOT know anything about them, DO NOT mingle with them even during company picnics. HR is there to protect the mis management, unless of course they are also laying off the mis management and then they cut them and run too. Your time and expertise are worthless, they will be at your next job too ( if you can find one ) and please remember they have HR people too.
You go girl
At least he thanked you for your service. Mine didn't even do that. 40 years of service in the field. Generating revenue. I was the last one layed off that day. Rushed out the door and gate. So he could get home. Not even a thank you.
I only wish Halliburton management could comprehend how they are truly despised by the men and women who bring in the revenue.
I too started during the Flying H era. 33 years of service and am walked out the door. Not allowed to go back to my desk, not allowed to say goodbye...my years of service meant nothing...like I had never existed. My parting comment from my manager "thank you for your years of service" and he got up and walked out the door. I hope the bastards go under. They had no respect for me, I now have none for them.
