No relationship....Rachel is good at schmoozing upper management but her peers can see right through her.
Several others were promoted AND were given raises, probably includes Ms. White and Finch.
Increasing someone's value by giving them a title is cheaper than paying them more, and results in the same level of employee retention. ION is not in a position to increase (or end the decrease) in anyone's salary, so the odd high powered title here and there will substitute. Besides, with the layoff of so many in Management in the last round of layoffs, ION had to promote to maintain the signature top heavy structure.
Is there anyone left on Brian Horn's team?
And Nicky finch just got made vp - right around the time they layed off all those processing people in May - sickening I'm lost for words
Wow, the didn't advertise that one.
Don't get me wrong, she's smart and hardworking and makes some great presentations for Brian... But there were plenty of great people let go. This seems a strange time to choose to promote her to that level unless you want to take care of her after the inevitable buyout. Maybe it was a no money title change, but at this time, we all know Brian, there is an ulterior motive at play.
