General Electric to Duncan OK ( DMC)

Heard rumors from GE people that GE was interested in parts of DMC plant in Duncan to build windmills . Anyone else here this ?

The lawers already worked out a deal for the contamination so it's done. GE does manufacture oil and gas equipment. Maybe ours also now.

Doubt that. GE doesn't need the liability of the contaminated DMC plant. Just because there is a building there doesn't make it worth anything. There are a lot of abandoned factories around Southern Oklahoma North Texas.

No, but it makes sense. Right now they truck the shells to Mobile or thereabouts, where they install the guts (generator mechanicals, controls etc), then truck them back to the DFW/OKC area. The return trip is an oversize/escorted load and has to be costing $$$ that could go towards other investments.
