For those who are in college now or those who were working with other oil field companies thinking that Schlumberger is where your career would take off to a CEO position one day. Sorry for breaking it down for yall, It is not true.
When Things picks up, Stay The Hell Away FROM SCHLUMBERGER.
Schlumberger, is full of supervisors, managers .. that takes credit of what you do and use it to give them a bump up. Field/Shop/Office
Sclumberger, is where you will be treated as a slave, do what I tell you or you will be the first one to get out in such times. Either you are in the Shop/ field or office same story.
Schlumberger, is where high-school bodies with GED's get together, enforce their surrounding and decide who gets what based on a scale of whats called, sucking D and licking ass Only in NAM so far
Schlumberger, is where a person get promoted in their first 1 to two years based on their gender " Females" no offense to my hard working females in the Industry.
Schlumberger, is your house and your house is your camp.
Schlumberger, is where they go by put well picked supervisors that all shop/Field/office hate to make your life miserable.
As a conclusion, if you want to work in Schlumberger and save all your money, become a kiss assin your first 3 years get them $$$$ and move on to a better company like Chevron, shell.. then by all means bobo do it. But if you are there thinking that you hit the jackpot and this is it.
Ask those who spent the last, 5, 12+ years working and generating money to big blue.
Unfortunately, they were the first one to get laid off due to their excellent experience, high work ethics and fair judgment when it comes to closed one on one evaluation"Joke" by their uneducated supervisors in the end of the year.
