Having stumbled upon this site, at first I was midly amused and considered most of the rants by those who perceived that they have been handed a raw deal, whiners and cry babys. Then as it progessed I became alarmed at the accusations and comments. Thinking to myself this cannot be true, there only exsists pocket or couruption greed etc. in stories and the movies.
Now I am convinced that there could possibly be validity to these stories.
Can shuch a place exsist in reality.

Unfortunately, and I sincerely mean unfortunately, the so called leadership that tommy has brought on with many big box idiots has decimated the company. It is now a joke internally and a laughing stoke externally. The Cabela's family is sick about the way it has been handled as are so many employees, both past and present. Amazing how a group of big box execs can run a great company into the ground. Simply add Wal Mart, Home Depot and a number of other so called big name box stores and you have the matches to create a fire. The last move, letting go of the entire creative department this past week is another sign of forgetting what allowed Cabela's to lead the industry. And Tommy says, this is a great deal, for who???? Him and a handful of idiots who have run this company into the ground? I hope that there is a justified revolt at the annual meeting - Tommy needs to go along with Mr Wal Mart and a host of others. Period. Let's take this company back to greatness.

You have to lend an ear to commonality........When the masses all have the same theme and message it's hard to dispute. Management will tell you what you want to hear........we'll tell you what you need to know....There is a huge problem with retaliation by upper management.....somehow they are able to get away with it.....Zero Tolerance only applies to hourly.....Bottom line is that there is NO TRUST.....I think that is the biggest issue we have in the store as well as corporate.....I don't even trust our so called HR Specialist.the one who is entrusted to protect the employees.....she's just a puppet in the same sick play.....it will get much worse and it won't get any better.....greed, ego, entitlement and micromanagement rules the roost....We really just want to be left alone to do what we do best....Started bringing a roll of quarters to work with me every day.......I'm assuming pay toilets are next..that can't take much more away.....they've stolen our will and our ambition.....and in most cases our dignity as well.......I'm humiliated to tell people where I work these days......
