Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

SLB IT to Cameron IT

Any Idea how many SLB IT members are moving to Cameron IT in the forthcoming Org change in the next 2 weeks? My manager said approximately 25% to 35 % will be transferred from each team and this will vary based on the need basis, but bare minimum 25% is assured. ( In our Engineering team out of 12 members, 4 are identified and HR is working with us in the Transfer process, I am one of the unluckiest guy in that list, though we have a pay hike for next 4 months, but I learnt the Cameron IT environment is utterly garbage)

I hope they get rid of whoever is managing Cameron IT. The whole thing is a mess.

Cameron IT is so segmented you cant get anything fixed properly or quickly.

I know some great IT people at Cameron, but they have had their access restricted so they cant even fix account or computer problems. It makes no sense that IT workers dont have the access they need to do their jobs.

I hope Schlumberger has some common sense in IT management and can trust their IT workers with access so all problems can be solved with a first contact resolution goal and not having to go through 5 different people.

We shall see if things improve over the next year.

It would only be temporary. Slb IT will eventually take over and replace Cameron IT personnel.
