They don't care about severance pay. The ones who are promised severance are at the tippy top. They lack the testicular fortitude required for laying off all these people demands so they're hoping some of their rat pests will jump ship willingly so they don't have to clear the traps themselves.

Pro tips: change your summer plans. Skip the vacation this year and save. Fix up the house and get it on the market. Never know, yours might be the one that moves in a hurry. Get your resume together and get it to a service to clean it up. Get a decent cover letter. Get off of social media during the day and clean up your posts. Get all the things ready, but then WAIT. Do not let them play you by scaring you and making you panic. Make them pay you to leave.
