KSID: Journalism you can trust

I sure wish KSID would take the attitude of looking for proof before reporting when it came to their praises of this buyout. They praise that there will be new jobs. 100+ people displaced but fear not! Around 30 jobs might open that you can apply for. Very quality reporting, once again KSID. It is a good thing that the rumors you will report on align with the best interests of the floundering Cabela's. I loved their head line, "Bad News and Good News." Good news for who, Sidney? The 100+ people who will be left looking for work, or the potential 30 who may or may not be able to find work from their new corporate monster of a boss? Or does the good news belong to Millner and his crew? All news is good news when you're on top.

The local media needs to get a clue and take the blinders off. Something terrible is happening and yet they think everything is going to be rosy. Who is going to buy any of the 200+ houses for sale?

Posted "new" jobs look about 12:1. Twelve people hoping for one position that fits their job description.

My deepest condolences to those of you who have lives established in the community impacted by this sell.

"Bad News/Good News For Some Cabela’s Employees"

This article is insulting. Bad news for at least (enter large amount of people who received the email to attend the "we sold your job" meeting) good news for (enter tiny number of people who will be selected for very limited jobs with the new company, which may just be transitional or part-time in nature) It was a very carefully written piece so as not to really shed light on the bomb that imploded inside the building on the hill.

Where in KSID's story does it say how many people will be hired or the number of people who lost their jobs? You say 30, but when I read the story there is no number stated. You must have an inside track on the story to be able to say how many people this affected. In reading the press release and the other story, there is no mention of how many people were affected by this. You either have an inside track and know something everyone else doesn't. OR you have a boner for KSID...

For that matter why are you crying about KSID on a website meant for people to whine about Cabelas?
