Colombian government elated. A corrupt government in bed with us.
Flipping clumsily through a script sounds a lot better than what we have today. I can't get anyone to answer the damn phone when I have an issue.
Besides them Colombian señoritas es muy caliente.
They just told us two days ago that all HR data and payroll functions will also be moving to Colombia by end of Q3. That puts another 50+ US employees out of work. Makes one wonder.....is this a back door deal with the Colombian government? And how do they think the US employees are going to like it when they have a question regarding their vacation or pay slip and all they get is a person that may not even speak fluent English and has to flip through an instruction manual to provide them a printed, canned answer that makes no sense? (does this sound familiar, like outsourced help desks?) Talk about employees leaving in droves. But how much payoff will SLB management make from outsourcing HR and payroll data functions? Makes one wonder doesn't it? It's all about stockholders, board of directors and upper management making the almighty dollar, isn't it? Millions of dollars of profit isn't enough. Profit MUST be in the BILLIONS of dollars!! Who cares about US employees? (Schlumberger doesn't.)
"Supply chain" which should be prefixed "lack of", is a corrosive element of the organisation which will eventually be its undoing. I have years worth of tales of supply chain incompetance which have cost millions of dollars. Colombia will be no worse than the morons currently engaged.
The outsourcing of US work should never be done for US operations. With remote engineers and now procurement teams creating POs pretty soon there will be little need for SLB to hire any US workers despite operating and profiting in US.
Shameful. I never want SLB projects to fail; however I do hope outsourcing projects do in all regards.
Can't be worse than the sorority girls in Houston f---ing up at this point.
