Hey maternity leave- way to work it! Good for you! The leaders are taking full advantage of the workers- glad you were able to work it for yourself! Congrats on the baby!!

I took the package but I was not planning to return from maternity leave. My return to work day was 4/28 but I had already filled out the form and sent it in. The severance check (whatever I can get) is a nice bonus I did not expect to get since I had intended to give my two weeks notice.
If those who stayed behind really think this place is safe, think again. They're dwindling down piece by piece until they sell off. You'd be a fool to stick around and "wait it out."
I'm sad for some of the people I know that got let go. Others, well I'm surprised they lasted this long. After dealing with their screw ups for years and my health taking a hit, I quit and never looked back. However, to the few people that got blindsided that were awesome people...I am already working on getting my network to work for them. They helped me get my job...time to repay them for their kindness.
I took the package but I have been miserable for months now. Mostly everyone I know in finance, academics and enrollment are miserable. However some people couldn't take the risk of leaving due to personal situations. I feel real bad for the ones that didn't have a choice and were forced to leave.
Yeah, let's list all 170 people here.
Essentially everyone that could see the ship is sinking.
Anyone with half a brain.
