I agree with you. I took the package, but I made sure all my issues were resolved first and all my cases were current. I cleared my email inbox and had everything current. I respected my team and my manager and didn't want to leave them a mess. However, I am only 1 out of 180 people. I would think some people just pushed everything out and didn't resolve anything leading up to this.
Crap fest is putting it lightly. Nothing like getting double the work and not being compensated for it. The people that checked out basically stopped doing anything from the point of turning in the separation paperwork. There is no saving this place at this point.
Going forward is just going to be a huge domino effec.....t the ones that are left will be blamed for anything that happened to the student before they became their advisor....the students won't care they are looking at the company as a whole and expecting the company to take care of them and if you are talking to them as their 5th new advisor...blaming their problems on the previous advisors sounds so lame and unprofessional even if it's true and the way the managers are acting they blame it on the current advisor and don't look at any of the previous history...they just want immediate results from the immediate advisor and they don't want any students escalating to them where they might have to have a one-on-one conversation with a student and explain what's going on with the company and 9 times out of 10 the manager doesn't have the advisor' s back..used to be they would just throw the adviser under the bus and offered the student a new advisor but that plan won't be holding water much longer as there won't be any more advisers that they can transfer the students to. if everyone is under the fear and assumption that they won't be there much longer they either will or will not have the integrity to keep doing a good job or we'll just start doing nothing because they know they're going to get fired anyway ... so as advisers leave the ones that are left will most likely inherit a crapfest depending on whether there's any Integrity left with any of their teammates. it seems pretty clear there's no motivation for integrity or to keep doing a good job...what's the point and totally stressing yourself out from the amount of pressure you get from the the students and the managers with their micromanaging whips. Force be with remaining crew.
Have fun dealing with my team. Sh!t is totally fu©ked. I imagine most teams are in the same shape. So glad I parted ways with that sh!thole.
I've talked to several students who had the "pleasure" of working with Brian Williams in finance. He cleared them for 5/3 starts while they had large balances and no plans to pay. Good job team
I accepted the offer and left today. I kept my team in good standing. I resolved all ESI's
Processed some paperwork that had to he done. I didn't dodge any calls for the three weeks since the severance was announced.
Having said that, I am sure there were lots of people who didn't do sh*t once they submitted their application for layoff.
