Ok tomorrow it is. We either sell and it's bad for employees because super layoffs or not sold and UoP is sold then stock crashes we lose employees. Why did leadership not innovate and make this a good company?? Did you ever ask the employees community to help????? Shame.

Shareholder vote on University of Phoenix parent sale postponed
http://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/news/2016/04/28/shareholder-vote-on-university-of-phoenix-parent.html
The class A and B shareholder vote for the sale was a no go, the top 3 investors who are class A shareholders own 23% and they voted against the sale. Apollo group (AG) is going to the Class B shareholder vote within the next week. Class A shareholders won't be able to vote since their voting rights are limited.
Worse case scenario if the 2nd round of votes is a no go, then UoP gets sold on the open market, stock prices will drop to nothing and everybody loses. UoP employees are going to be hurt the most because AG is going to start letting people go left and right and furlough key personnel. It's a sad sight but Capelli and Slottow and their cronies will win big either way. Sad stuff
Conference call @5:30 CST today with campus leaders
There was a meeting but no vote. Meeting done. But added bonus layoffs begin.
The meeting was at 2 and it was fast. It was in room 101 in the 10 story. Trying to find out the verdict.
Anyone know how or when we'll know the official outcome of the shareholder vote?
Even if shareholders vote for a "merger" I believe APOL still has to meet benchmarks before the deal is completed. Technically, that means that the shareholders could vote "yes" but the deal could still fall through.
This is the first layoffs for SAS operations. There are a few good people. Many shouldn't be there though. Maybe if managers actually did their jobs and held people accountable we would have weeded out the crap by now. But, ADs just care if the tracker is green no matter how it got that way nor do they care about backend errors getting reported. We run dozens of reports to catch audit items so we don't get fined or loose TIV, but let's not fire the people that are the top 10 on every single report. How dare we hold anyone accountable in cert. Mist just mindlessly click the buttons I the order the little piece of paper tells them and nothing more. Every fa knows at least one op id that they see and know that they will let need open a ticket to get it fixed. It will all be outsourced anyways after they pull the plug on vocado
May the force be with each and every one of you in coming days. There are good employees at UOP that gave their best intentions to their students, but our management or those in charge of our 'mission' twisted those good intentions for their own benefit and lost sight of integrity. Most UOP employees deserve so much better than they are getting. The ones with no respect or regard for others will meet their karma. Exit or remain but keep your dignity and best of luck in your next endeavor. Peace out.
operations first layoffs? Are you high? Operations has been getting the axe for over 5 years, every quarter. You must be hotboxing with Camden moron. lmfao
Fu©k those worthless pieces of dung in operations. Good riddance! Sincerely yours, upper management.
This will be Operation's first layoffs. Sad for those letting go because there are too many good people who work there and have the best knowledge in the industry. Let's be nice because losing your job isn't easy. And that's the case for many..
Management is at the point where they are finding it hard to contain the leaks in regards to just how bad of shape the company is in. The company is on a death watch path. All senior management know this. All are trying to make their last money grab before the doors are shuttered.
I think predicting what's going to happen next is obvious. Same sh-- that happened to CCI Colleges.
They will be out of business by next May. Some really bad sh!t is going on behind the scenes. Roughly 50% of the staff will be gone by October. Sale is dead and the stock will be a buck by year end. The name is too tainted now at this juncture.
