Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Wondering what % of folks who were let go as part of the ROM last year are yet to submit their paperwork to receive their Pension ?

If you were let go as part of the ROM last year, have you already turned in your Pension Paperwork or are you hoping for lower interest rates and still waiting ?

OP, I doubt you will be able to get hard number or percentage for the laid off employees who haven't yet taken their pension. As for me, I requested my pension commencement package about 2 weeks before my last day in the office with a start date that was 8 months in the future (a month after my 58th birthday). I received my retirement packet within 4 days and was assigned a Retirement Case Administrator. This was a good move on my part because I was able to ask pertinent questions of my RCA. It took me more than 3 months of asking questions to get to the bottom of my inquiries about the Social Security Offset calculation and whether I would benefit from providing Chevron with my Social Security Earnings statement. I had a difficult time getting answers but by calling up to 4 separate times and asking questions in a piece-meal manner, I was able to discern the answers logistically led me to the correct decision to make. The first retirement commencement package had expired after 90 days. I requested another package a few weeks ahead of my desired pension start date and I submitted my Social Security Earnngs statement and a cover letter. It only took Chevron a few weeks to process everything. They mailed me back a revised pension benefit summary with the increased benefits for both lump sum and annuity. My actual SS Earnings (which was lower than Chevron's estimation calculation) provided me a greater than 10% increase. I received my pension in Dec 2015.
