Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

What is your opinion on forming a union to protect our profession?

How are we high-tech engineers any different than university professors, airline pilots, nurses, etc that get protection from corporate greed through their unions?

Look what unions did for the auto industry. Moved all U.S. labor to Mexico and Canada.

That was the whole point of NAFTA.

The difference there are no H-1bs pilots, nurses or professors. Therefore as long as there are h-1bs in tech industry, US tech workers will keep on being replaced
