Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

What are the numbers for AC's and FA's?

I heard that FA's went over the number needed so now how will they determine whose package is accepted?

Fa's will be selected through "natural attrition". Watch your backs everyone is out for themselves. Sfs-operations is letting everyone go that volunteered. There will not be 2 waves, everyone is going as soon as paperwork is done, they are trying to do it beige 4/28 because too many lazy worthless people have stopped working since it was announced 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately most of their managers pad their production and make it green for the bimbos in charge and won't get targeted.

Control breeds resistance. Motivating by fear is so primitive. Teamwork and respect have already been terminated and they took hope for restoration with them.

Correction, they said they will tell us on 04-28-16 not by then. A lot of people are still looking for more concrete information.

@POS management, I made this comparison (to Enron) awhile ago, when Apollo Group had much more power in DC--and before Aaron Glantz's work came out. I wouldn't be surprised if Apollo Global Management added Tony Miller (Obama DoED) to the mix to add as a firewall............................................https://www.thelayoff.com/t/xXdnzMY

It's a mistake to lump together what happened with Arthur Anderson and Enron with what happened at Corinthian. There are a completely different set of factors, culprits, and stakeholders involved. Don't sleep on the opportunity presented by universities such as uopx to meet the needs of non traditional students and expand higher education. To your point, several things need immediate reform, but know there is still a solid group of well-intentioned and capable people who are going to continue to do their best to keep uopx's resources focused towards the greater good for as long as their given the opportunity to do so. There is too much volatility in a vast array of external factors to make a rational conclusion about the fate of uopx at this point. Is it possible the future isn't already determined and this opportunity will be what we make of it?

It is funny when these UOP educated blowhards chime in to defend this joke of a company. It will be shuttered soon and will make the history books along with Enron, Arthur Anderson, Corinthian and so forth. It will be the biggest failure of any school if you want to actually call it that. To bad they won't punish the people at the top for pilfering the Department of Education out of billions.

But the bigger question everyone is asking: will more layoffs occur in another 90 days?

Of course, the life-long victims cry foul that they didn't get numbers immediately after the deadline to submit their forms. Uopx could not have been more transparent and employee focused throughout this entire process.They have said all along that you will be notified by 4/28 of the outcome and that is still the case. This timeline is more than reasonable

Rumor is regardless of department, if you volunteered your last day will be 4/28. So get ready to do way more work and be scrutinized even more so they can just fire you. Legal gave HR the approval to go after people and step up the process. Az is a right to work state and they can terminate you at any time for any reasonable reason, aka workforce reduction.

@Suckers

Any hard facts to back this up? I submitted and I want out. I am afraid I won't get it.

Heard they blew through the number by 40+ on the FA side. The AC side on the other hand barely made half. There will be allot of unhappy AC's next week. Also heard the entire volunteer thing was a front to begin with to make people feel warm so they would continue to work in fear. Supposedly only about 20 volunteers on each side will actually be granted a volunteer package. Also, the final tallies will exceed 150 on each side. No one will know the difference anyhow as they will be reported as natural attrition or in the next round come Julyish.
