Baker and Halliburton just called off their merger so the first ones out the door will be their F&A people. If you got out of Marathon by now consider yourself lucky (unless you are still unemployed). as there will be a lot of resume slinging in Houston soon.

Glad I took the opportunity to bail when I did.

Marathon has become that mouldy old block of cheese, being sold off one sliceat a time.

Some won't be missed especially the manager who's leaving because she thinks she's overloaded and working too hard. Can't come in late and hung over like she's done for 15+ years.

Sult got $3.8 million for his efforts last year, same as 2014. Must be doing something right.

People work under Sult cause they are economic slaves. Article in Houston Chron today about some poor bastard that got canned from Baker Hughes. Only job he had in his life and now he is walking dead with no job and three unhealthy children and a wife that does not work. That is another time bomb waiting to explode in the Woodlands. Would feel sorry for the guy but he has a big house in the Woodlands and probably a new SUV in the driveway and boat in back. Why do people not think?

Luckily it's the high performers who are leaving so they are finding these well vetted jobs. I can't wait to get out. Those who left no longer have to play the game and work with worthless passive aggressive peers. That's something to look forward to. Who in F&A wants to work under Sult? You all talk about him but are too weak to take the leap. How do you rate him and his behaviors. Go.....

Maybe they will find jobs. Depends on whether they have needed skill sets to succeed in the profession. Companies are becoming very selective now and only hiring high performers. The days of hiring candidates for an affirmative action photo op are coming to a end.

Voluntary or forced out? does it matter? F&A people will find jobs in other industries or public accounting no problem..

Voluntary or forced out? People who think for themselves are not welcome in MRO's group think environment.

Too bad these employees could not wait to get laid off and get a severance.

No accountability for leader's decisions.

No consequences for leader's conduct.

No surprise the exits are in use.

History repeats itself.
