Last year I was cut. I was able to find another job with the help of other people in the same boat. The former employ network is wide and supportive.

Couple here & there but nothing like the bloodbaths of yore. HR realized that mass layoffs did nothing for morale and made the fat cats in UM have to waddle out and pacify the leftovers with happy talk and ice cream. keep the overhead low, only ax a few here and there and avoid the cost for all that ice cream.
