Broadcom should have been fvcked hard by Apple, and then Apple hires top engineers from Broadcom. Broadcom affords the huge cost to offer the cheapest wifi chips to Apple, with a bunch of remaining overworked/unhappy/loser engineers.
The CEO of the new Broadcom Ltd. isn't that stupid to understand the situation, so he made a wise decision not to give a sh-t to Apple.
It turns out that Apple seems to be the most evil company in this industry. If one day QC CEO has the ball to do the same, QC will be made great again.
Looks like this rumor is based on the fact that Broadcom taiwan 's employee is much reduced. But it is just part of Broadcom's cost saving plan.
This is a smart move. Broadcom wants to decrease it's dependence on Apple which exceeded 1/3 of the revenues at some point.
