We did not cause this mess

My last post was very negative; however, my last comment about hope they end up in jail is because of their own making; moreover, this company was on 60 minutes two times in one year. And because our company has so much browed money we paid the price and they stayed out of jail! But moving on to todays post, biting the hand that feeds you it directed at the top brass. Instead of taking away from the workers you should stop spending money like drunken wh--es and take a 50 percent wage decrease until you get this right! And no damn bonuses or expense accounts. And not only restore our benefits give us a raise from last year you still owe us!

This was a simple fix and still can be had if you hire an outside contractor and audit every facially, And what I mean by audit is study how much management is really needed. Stop the management duplication and sometimes triplication. We have some bosses that are in charge of less than 4 people and 4 or 5 of the exact same positon. With this type of leadership my division should be the best in the world! But nope, they are only good at overriding NCRs !

And lastly stop this low cost outsourcing, more rig operators will buy from us in the USA if we make it in the USA. They will pay more and just charge the consumer! And yes I know that we are a international corporation, but each country likes products made in their country! China and Central America do not do that much business with us.

Yes, the oilfield will be fine in the end, but the question is will WFT actually make it through to then? They started to cut training years ago already and have only put in place a very weak replacement. I've seen both sides of the fence, and I can tell you that WFT puts on a very weak show.

I've had consultants tell me that part of the reason that they still hire WFT when they can't get a bigger company out is because they know that if anything really major happens, WFT won't be able to give a reasonable enough explanation to not be saddled with the bill for it.

Dear GtdUtsH-xoi...call the Listen Up number. They actually do follow up on every call. It doesn't always mean that the outcome will be what you want it to be, but the people that are abusing the system will then know that others are watching them. They don't have to worry if they are doing nothing wrong. I know this because someone called a report in on me...I had done nothing wrong and the person had an ax to grind (but that is another story!). They looked through all of my activities, emails, etc. Since I was not guilty of any wrongdoing, I was exonerated...but if I had been doing anything, I can guarantee they would have caught it. it didn't bother me at all...but of course I wasn't guilty!

I hope they get it after we are all gone. I know at my plant most are leaving except the management and the ones that are well over paid. I've got an interview today and like they did to me no notice f---ers!

I would like two put my two cents. I still work for Weatherford over ten years now. I am not angry or bitter about no pay raises for two years, a cut in pay and now no 401K. I feel those changes were needed in order for Weatherford to survive but here is what does make me bitter and angry when you have a manager crying over his 10 percent pay cut when he doesn't even work a full day much less a full week and then the same day we get an email about no 401 k him and his salesman turn in expense reports for 300 each that are all fake with alcohol on some of the receipt and dates that included Saturday and Sunday not to mention customers they never took out. Doesn't anyone verify those not to mention why has this perk not been cut. THOUGHTS?????

I was recently laid off and cant understand why, but im not mad or bitter. Everything happens for a reason and it sounds like im lucky to at least get severence and vacation time. I feel the longer people stay the more anger they will grow with WFT and possibly be let go without any severence. I hope not, but most of my predictions have eventually come true. When it does pick up the ones left may be the first to leave and the ones let go may never come back. Maybe all the managers that are left will be able to manage the work with no workers.

All very good points. It is a matter of time before weatherford implodes on itself. If you still work there, brace for impact. If you've already been laid off, sit back and enjoy the show.
