There are still managers that have 5 to 12 people on their team and literally do nothing but do homework in cube or go to the gym all day. So many lazy ass managers/directors that do nothing to create revenue are the leading reason for the poor poor morale. All managers/directors do is cash in a check every couple of weeks. As a rep I HAVE to enroll students or else, I HAVE to get recommendations or else, I HAVE to retain students or else and my lazy ass manager does nothing but do a one on one meeting with us once a week and then disappear for the rest of the week. You stupid managers/directors think we don't know that you are gone getting pedicures, getting your hair done, getting your car detailed, screwing people on your own team--well we know!!! The stupid company is getting exactly what it deserves. Managers and directors don't put in a full days works and that's one major reason why the company continues to do so poorly. You won't get buy in from your frontline (enrollment) if you (manager/director) are pissing off your day shopping for your kids. By now you would think they would have cut managers and directors since they basically do nothing all day. Its going to continue to sink and innocent students will be the ones to pay the price for the negative connotations associated with UOPX. Don't kid yourself managers and directors we don't get any guidance from you and we can't count on you to help us because you are never around. Have you noticed those a--holes are long gone by the time it hits 3pm while the rest of the enrollment staff have to stay much later. Problems with students don't disappear just because its 3. Work like your team and you might start to see this loser enterprise turn around. I am holding on by a thread just because I want to see more managers and directors cut! I have seen the same mismanagement for years its gotta end.

Managers in general are just not held accountable. I see them leave for 2-3hrs then comeback and leave for lunch. I over hear them talk about picking up kids during work, getting pedicures, running errands even coming back from a long absence with a new haircut so you know it wasn't work related. And they wonder why the company is doing so poorly?!
I do my job and even if I only enroll one student that's one more than my retard manager. He doesn't do sh-- all day. My stupid platinum flag is a joke. Who wants a flag? I don't! I would rather they cut all the managers and give us a real raise. I make the school money. I pay the bills my anorexic/tanorexic director doesn't neither does my absentee manager.
Yeah, point the finger three point back. I bet you half of you don't even do your job as it is much less bitch about someone else's misconduct... I see you on spring training websites as I pass by your desk... I don't disagree, some of the managers and directors we could do without, but that stands true for some of you useless f***$ out there...
So my manager comes in around 8 leaves at 9:30am to gym. Comes back to eat at his desk for an hour does homework for an hour leaves for 2 more hours meanwhile we are getting calls we cant always answer but where's our manager out dating one of the reps on another team. His wife doesn't know so I guess its ok. Then when he's back he walks by and says, Get those recos!" Frigging loser. The company is so poorly managed its not going to change unless all managers are canned.
I like that my manager is never around and is always running personal errands. She basically shows up to a team meeting once a week and the rest of the week she's out with the director at lunch or at the casino or shopping. Take a look around and jot down how often you see your enrollment manager at his/her desk. It's funny but I like that my manager is never around it helps me binge watch on my phone so I get caught up on my shows. :)
@Enrollment, Tony Miller is the new face of University of Phoenix. Undersecretary of Education under Obama and a hedge fund guy. He'll probably talk a good game.

New ownership will need no managers. Automated checks and balances to see who is working and who is not. Enrollment managers especially will be downsized to nothing. Once the call center automatic dialer is back up and running there will be no need for managers and no need for directors. Just like in Zappos where they killed all manager positions because people that wanted to work came into work and those that didn't left--so will UOPX be managed. Its just a matter of months before New Management is put in place in August and the company will be even smaller. Directors and Managers are being told not to worry and tell their reps that the New company bought us to fix a few areas and will make UOP stronger and better. NOT TRUE!!! Najafi, Vistria et.al want to make it as small and lean as possible to make money. More news to come.
LOL. The school is being spun off. It's going to be so much worse when this happens. One on ones will be two or three times per week with two or three people...You think it's bad now, wait until the new investors start asking for unrealistic goals. We are all f**ked.

Don't you love your one on ones where they show youhow many Regs you have and how many calls you made and how many recommendations you have. Didn't we just get sued for this? Why am I being threatened to get more recommendations? Pay for marketing so YOU can get leads. Why are you forcing me to solicit people that never planned on being put on the spot for their friends names. Oh and don't you love Fridays when there is no manager around anywhere--Ever! Enrollment managers and enrollment directors suck and they are completely unnecessary.

Ah, a manager coming out of their cave to try to shift focus off their lazy a$$. Go back to playing Frisbee or shopping or whatever else you lazy piles do all day. It is not work. Everyone knows that. Fire all of them.
