@GpYYxP5 - 21 years with QC. Package was: 2 weeks for every year, 2 extra weeks of pay, $1100 stipend to put toward health insurance (it paid for 1 month of Cobra). Had to work for 2 months and sign paperwork before I could get the package. Sounds like a great package until they taxed the crap out of it (39.9% federal and 6.6 state). Got barely half of the package. And they withheld the package until January 8th - as HR explained it, it was for their tax benefit - not mine.

Check the employment law, depending on the number of people being laid off, you can get up to 2 months severance pay.
