Talks between our union committee and management ended this past week (so we were told). They approached us saying we needed to reopen the contract and allow a two tier payscale. We asked for written and signed protection for our 'legacy' workers. They said they couldnt, so we declined further talks. As the final meeting ended, they said layoffs would be coming (which they said wouldn't happen if we agreed to tier) anyway. No sign or talk of any salary cuts though. They basically tried to throw us in the same ring as Milwaukee workers, who have already imposed two tier? Saying we would take their work? The shell game was funny when customers would come to visit, now they play it on us.

Ridiculous, GE is a worth billions and it wants to cut from the little guy. Why don't Immlet and Bolze give up their bonuses to help out.
There were 200 jobs cuts in Mannheim Germany June 3 2016 with another 1,066 to come. GE will close Germany operations and move to France
Madison contract comming up too. Have asked admins to volunteer to take plant jobs.
