Thread regarding Anadarko Petroleum Corp. layoffs

Bad enough to let someone go, but you have to screw them out of their bonus too?

Feeling totally and completely used!! It was very apparent by those who were cut that the so called APC Values are a crock!!! These cuts weren't performance or need based, unless you count one's ability to suckup or play the politics game.

Looking over the different levels of severance pkgs available and the amount of bonus given based on a corporate wide 125% total bonus. Let you go and then turn around and screw you out of your bonus! That's such a clear example of good "Values". All I have to say is Karma is a you know what!!!!

You get the prorated 2016 bonus if you sign the waiver

I work in the industry but have not received a bonus since 2007, in fact my pay has decreased. It is hard to listen to oil company folks whimper about not getting bonuses on top of their already high base pay. Be happy for what you did get an move on. I am happy just to have a reduced pay check.

Where does it mention paying the prorated 2016 bonus?

They paid out 2016 prorated at 100% of target - name another company that would do that? Stop your complaining.

I'm sorry to hear that. I got a little over 100%, which is about what I expected.

I've been wondering about the 2015 bonus, too. Even as they were in my office going over the package, I saw that number and thought it looked low. AIP was 125% of target and they gave me 73%. I've never gotten less than 100% or a bad PRP review (other than the one the forced us to give ourselves last year, but of course that was only to "promote honest conversations")

Did you not get a bonus or was it substantially less than the 125%?

What a crappy deal. Needed money for the folks they kept.

Kind of like firing someone for a "one-time" manufactured incident (two months before year-end) so that you can screw them out of not only their bonus, but severance as well.

This is how you make enemies out of former employees and get litigated against....
