Pretty disappointed with some of the people that weren't cut. Could easily cut another 10-15%

Many managers took the very generous offer to retire. It was too good not to take.
Many managers opted for retirement. So being let go is relative.....
if this is about saving GA - we didn't do it today as APC kept the most expensive FAT CATS that are overpaid and underworked ! Shameful. Let's speed forward to round two.
You have to keep bringing in college kids. We don't want a repeat of last time.
Just to pour salt on the open wound. Fun fact, they have new hires starting Monday. And just to really rub it in and make it burn they have no experience. Anadarko doesn't want to "tarnish its reputation" with the schools the new hires are coming from. What a great mentality. Talk about employee loyalty. Think about the message that sends future employees. Is that the kinda company you wanna work for? To me it's just another example of the hypocrisy that is the "core values" and the horrible leadership that is at apc.
My manager is so bored that he spends most of the day with his door slightly open on his cell taking care of personal business. If only executive knew and could get real unfiltered info by bringing in external HR to access work performance and business efficiencies more managers would be laid off. Zippo went to a model of removing managers and flattening the hierarchy which increased productivity and made them more competitive in their industry.
They haven't cut deep. From what I've seen just little people were let go. If they intend to do any good, they need to trim the management big time.
Did any managers get let go? Does anyone know?
Just wait. They could cut more by year end
In what disciplines exactly?
