My father was on his day off. They called very early that morning- went through a rehearsed speech, and let him know they would be sending the severance package via ups overnight. It was very direct, cold, and mechanical. Then since he was home, they sent security to come for the truck, credit card, and cell phone that same afternoon. That was the clincher for him- saying goodbye to his trusty work truck. It's strange seeing the house without it parked in the front. Anyways, I know they do it quickly to avoid any disgruntled ex-employees from wrecking or doing who knows what with it, but that's the point where it became real for him. He's still slowly letting it sink in, but we know eventually this will have been for the best- just got to have faith!

If I get cut I will post some honest stuff here. From what has been heard it's supposed to take a very short time per person. They hand you a packet and go over it quickly. I'm just wondering how they plan to handle the ones that try to make it difficult.

I would be curios to hear from those who are told they are staying. How were you told, what were you told?
