Bonuses have historically come out the week between the first and second paycheck in March, which would be this week, this year. Today, Mattel HR announces that they are effectively postponed by nearly a month, although they will be communicated along with merit increase information next week, "in order to align with the merit schedule" (to paraphrase). The announcement comes with a note at the bottom of the e-mail that you have to still have a job on April 5th in order to receive any bonus that's been communicated to you in March. What a bunch of crap. They don't even try to lie well anymore...layoffs, anyone? Cash on hand at end of Q1 after taking the charges?

I received a dividend check yesterday! woot!
Some shit is going to hit the fan sooner than next year my friend. I'm guessing several weeks on the outside. Remember, AG got it several days ago. That's why they postponed the measly bonuses because our new HR wasn't ready with the layoff paperwork yet.
Not to worry though, at the Q1 propaganda/shell game update the great news will be that the dividend WILL BE FUNDED by the blood money of lay offs at the "back of the house" as that liar Kevin Farr stated at the Q4 spew.
What a true travesty this toilet turned into. Damn I hope Hasbro upper management is reading this blog.
Of course you're not valued you big dummy. You're less than a number to them. You're a salary that needs to get cut so they can pay the stockholders their dividend. Wait till the shit hits the fan again next year and all the BS number wrangling hits the fan. The stock price and turnaround are all just smoke an mirrors.
This gets more disgusting by the day. The bonuses WE EARNED THROUGH OUR WORK, DEDICATION, AND PASSION LAST YEAR are to be denied to us if we get cut THIS YEAR due to the incompetence of our upper management and their need to make the numbers dance? This is just theft, nothing less. We employees are not valued at all.
Why even bother to announce MIPs on 3/15? Especially if I'm going to get raptured before 4/5. Tell me before the 15th and save lying to my face. That's just insulting. Congratulations new HR management. Great start.
I love that line"your position has been eliminated". I roared out laughing at that one. The moment they say that to you, there already looking to hire someone at a lower payscale so that they can say the same thing to them in a few years & keep the cycle going. Meanwhile the VPs that need to be flushed are atill there doing NOTHING to earn their bloated paychecks. Guess they need some way to fund those affairs and divorces. Just sayin'.

Every year I would make them send me reminders months after I was supposed to sign the BS employment form from HR as well. Damn how this place turned into a cess pool.
Classic Mattel! Putting the employees at ease and making them feel valued and appreciated! Ugh! So glad I am no longer there, it is so sad.
Here's the thing. They don't need the TRACS to fire you. When you sign you're employment papers they clearly state that they can fire you for any reason whatsoever without notice. If they want you gone they'll just give you a BS line that "your position has been eliminated", or some BS to that effect.
i don't even know why they bothered to do TRACS.... they already knew who they were going to give what. and by the way the new TRACS 2.0 will just make it easier for your manager to put something in your file that is on record if they want to get rid of you. so they just made that easier...
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.... at least you'll know if you boss tells you that you're getting nothing you're going to be shown the door.
