Does anyone think they asked to be taken off the list since even NetApp has to think it's tacky to be promoting the same week as massive layoffs? To go from the 30s to off the list is pretty drastic especially when the list was compiled many months ago. Admiringly, it's probably deserved, but I just don't find it credible. Btw, I know for a fact it was/is? someone's job to stay in the list.

Remember that there were also hundreds of layoffs in 2015.
Maybe the person in charge of making sure Netapp stays on the list was laid off.
