I am still proud of Anadarko and what it stands for.

For all of the negativity on here, I still love this company. I truly believe the management and the employees live by our values and are trying their very hardest to maintain our high standards in this difficult time for the company and the industry as a whole.

If I get to keep my job, I hope most of my peers do too. They are such great people! If I don't, I still hope Anadarko is successful. Say what you will, we have all worked hard to make something we are proud of in this company. I would like to see it succeed even if I am not along for the ride.

I retired from APC last year and I am very honored to have worked 20+ years for the same company. APC fed my family, paid my mortgages and put my child through college. People should direct their anger at the Washington elites that don't give a darn about the energy industry and all of the people hired by them. You better think about the person you vote for this time. The past 7+ years have been a nightmare for the energy business. Jobs will come back when we get a real, conservative Leader in Washington. APC held on as long as they could and everyone should be grateful for that.

I pray that my colleagues all would draw strength, comfort, hope, and peace from Jesus Christ the only One in whom we can truly trust! I am proud of my affiliation with Anadarko. Layoffs come with the territory.

I was also proud of my affiliation with Enron. I was proud to go to jail. It went with the territory. I was proud to be repeatedly ass raped. It was just business. I am proud to have AIDS and hep C. Yes these are all bad things but I take the bad with the good. It would be disingenuous to complain that everything doesn't go exactly as I want it to.

God bless you, Anadarko management. Keep making money for all the protected insiders. I just ask that you remember me by occasionally coming by and taking a shit on my grave.
