March 2016 Layoffs are coming to Aetna, that's the rumor. Also, some of us have been with Aetna a long time and are so overloaded and overworked (with NO OVERTIME, NO COMP TIME, etc.) and have been harassed out of our jobs. No need to pay unemployment or severance pay when forced out. Aetna truly sucks and their values, policies, etc. are totally worthless words. The company is run by sadistic psychopaths!

Any layoffs in moon office soon. It's end of year 2016. Anything happening soon.
Aetna has been laying off at least 1,000 per month for the last few months and it will probably continue. There are probably many individuals laid off due to workload, offshoring, etc, but the most significant and noticeable number of employees are those who have been with the company many years and are OVER 50 years old!!! This is totally illegal but has to be a class action lawsuit to show the pattern.
What a despicable, evil company!
6 CVTY/AETNA at the Harrisburg PA location gone without warning today. Restructuring the department was the excuse. Gone make a break. Someone knows something but they aren't telling. No one feels safe now.
Sounds like Aetna and Humana certainly have the same company culture!
You'd think they would consider getting rid of some of the many VPs they have. If they're getting rid of the "little people" it stands to reason they won't need those high profile, high paid, highly useless positions...
They just let go of an employee that had been with them for 25 years. The new Aetna has zero loyalty nor compassion for their employees. It goes with out saying you can expect them to have the same horrid treatment towards their customer.
All of the false lies in the world will not remedy what ails Aetna. They are a soulless, heartless and brainless company that is completely and utterly morally bankrupt.
There were just layoffs announced here in the Harrisburg office. Not sure of the details, but it's definitely not a rumor.
Doing it now. Friend of mine JUST got let go (employed 2 years customer service) for "Financial" reasons....
Customer Service is downsizing. Aetna did not get the expect individual and small group contracts they anticipated for 2016 year with open enrollment through marketplace; and, as Coventry finalizes there takeover by 2018, those contracts are also not converting to Aetna like projected.
Could that be because of Aetna's choice to hire out to offshore vendors (.....and, they really are more of a problem than you would think. Too many errors that is making the company look bad in the customers' eyes.) Maybe the Unions are leaving for this reason too. I would think ethically probably so. How could any union justify using a company for their healthcare that is not keeping the US employees to do 100% of their claims and services?
Smh.....
It is really happening. I read an article that said Aetna has to reduce $1billion this year. I know 4 people eliminated this week.
Any specific department or everyone?
Already happening...I know from experience haha
Is this the last week of March or is it on March 23rd because they usually do this on a Weds
Are they just rumors or actually happening?
r
Good luck to all
