Reading the article, guess there was a reason why no plans were made for less than $60. Oil! It appears to me that the previous CFO should have been fired with cause along with others!

I guess that SPIRIT values do not apply to accounting standards.
Thank you for sharing. This tells a lot about the leadership of ConocoPhillips. The take away from this is:
"ConocoPhillips’ tactic “shows if you can take price out of the equation, they actually are working toward improving their profitability per barrel for the things they control.”
