why the hell are all the useless managers in india sales team still around. they have taken the business down by 40% and still around driving their bmw's etc., there are product managers for ontap in the india sales team can you beat that? there are friends and relatives of the country manager anil valluri who just sit and browse the internet all day. there are people who are Anil Valluri's inner circle who go to club only after 6 months in the job and not carrying quota. will GK wake up smell whatever that can get him to see this rampant corruption? will you clean this shit or should we keep running around the office with our noses closed?

Finally we managed to get rid of AV. Now rest of suryavanshis - one by one.
If the name of the person who started the blog and who is sending out information is known, it will give a good idea to how much credibility it has. However, it is true that there is a distinction is the Siryavanshis and the others in the sales side. In the development centre, it depends on how much you are willing to sick up
I am also told a name who is still in NetApp supported by couple of ex-NetApp folks. I am also told that almost all the information that person manage to gather goes out of NetApp may be completion even , and this is going on for some long time , almost 2-3 years now

It's popular because it's the voice of the hearts of Netapp india sales employees. Hope GK will notice it someday - else, what's the point?

Dear GK, please do an audit and find out for yourself. Please get HR (not from sales team india) to do a anonymous feedback collection and all the skeletons will come out. These are not simple issues but very deep ethical, legal and moral violations. The buck will stop at the top and once the rot is removed Netapp will back to its rightful place - a winning leader. The self motivated employees are right now stuck under these ex-SUN junta's autocracy - free them and watch how things will immediately transform for the better. Can't bear this anymore, working here has become an atrocity. PLS HELP! SOS!!

Haha...AV doing good for employees (X-Sun) only and not for the company. Compare the numbers before AV came inboard and later one would get an idea. And this anguish is not there just because of the recent layoffs that usually leaves employees with bad mouth. There is no rocket science, anyone can figure this out if one just look at the people who were hired and left (or rather forced to leave) the company in last couple of years. You must also compare the contribution of the old so called lethargic employees vs so called intelligent ex-SUN guys :). Now on the feedback, AV management knows from whom to take it.
AV and his team is doing extremely awesome. With Ntap globally facing problems , India is doing great.
All SUN or not SUN. Entire team under leadership of AV have done a extremely gud job.
Layoff was a mandate from corporate. NetApp India had to layoff guys on very senior role (Ex-Sun guys) to ensure minimum Impact to the employees.
So senior ex-sun guys where most impacted.
Heads off to you AV. It was the right thing a leader can do considering the constraints.
For the world AV hv shown 2 EX-SUN are also affected. Hight of dirty politics. Just an eye wash for the corporate to be safe.
It's all a planned move.
I work with a Netapp competition, and don't think this is Netapp specific. But entire storage industry is in bad shape. This is the time for NetApp to fire the bad apples, and hire new blood. All the best.
Its Sad . Quite surprising to see none from the sales team is affected by the layoffs . If they aren't able to sell the product why the hell are they there.Why is it always the Product development team thats laid off.
What makes you think only the laid off employees are writing this. It could ne employees still employed at NetApp desirous of change
It's not just the India team that is suffering but the entire APAC team. This letter should be addressed to GK requesting for an audit within entire APAC leadership and management team. There are redundant layers of APAC folks still around and yet the sales folks in countries who are the feet on the ground were axed. Current APAC leader, Rick is surrounded by folks who only say the things he wants to listen. Even since the last leader left, the company has gone worst, allowing many to build their own empire by hiring and allowing managers to have only 1 direct staff reporting and traveling across APAC at the expense of the company.
Such is the state of NetApp
Layoffs will cause emotional heartache but couldn't the disgruntled employees have bought out their views while they were still in NetApp ? And more importantly would these same employees have voiced these views and concerns had the layoff not happened to them ?

You should also experience first hand the absolute contempt he reserves for people below his perceived official position. Refers to all the india sales employees who followed the India VP. Their only qualification - they had all worked together at SUN Micro. Their days are spent discussing fines wines, golf and where to buy discount suits.
You Survanshi's are definitely better than the gud old NetApp Guys.
You Stay Royally( No cost saving for the company)
Use Company Car for local Calls and keep it for the entire Day. ( Old guys travel on their own)
Come a Day earlier for meeting Next Day and stay at most Exotic hotels.
Leave by 4-5PM post the meeting. Only one meeting per day.
Use the core expertise on the old Guys and boost your success.
Use Company facilities for personal use.
Attend functions outside India even if its not meant for you. But just to have fun, you will always do every-time and all time..
The company did more business in the past compared to what they do now with highly paid useless bunch of ex Sun guys. They exist because of the simple fact that they ask belong to the ex Sun gang. They ruined that company and are now hell bent on doing the same to NetApp
Not sure Why against Survanshi's. We deserve all the benefits as we are capable. And why not to favor the ex-SUN brilliant and extra-ordinary people. We have seen success is leaps and bounds earlier as a team.
So why not get together and show the same again here.

I agree completely. The Suryavsnshis are not only paid more but are highly inefficient. They hardly work but continue to stay because of the simple fact that they all worked at Sun Microsystems in the past. It's ridiculous that they can't take up the revenues but carry the distinction of lessening sales. The Management outside India is completely oblivious to this rampant suck up business in India
I second this completely. Not only it's affecting the company's books but it is impacting the other loyal employees who don't share have any personal relationship with the Suryavanshi's.. Lot of people already lost their job to make the position available for the ones who were the result of layoffs post SUN-Oracle aquisition... This is been done only because of their proximity with the management and not because they are more capable of anything.. This is pathetic that no one in the HQ has still noticed this happening...
