Amen brother or sister. HR those than cannot do. I have been screwed by HR at NTAP almost every year i have been employed. Every year changing comp plans so that you never make a penny more than the year before, all the while expounding on how you are being promoted and what a great deal you are getting. Yet not one person from HR would agree to a call or face to face to justify their positions. Small town heros with no place to go. Just a bunch of company monkey losers, taking their misery out on those that can actually produce.

Whenever an HR robot is on a call with your manager it usually is not a good sign. Usually you are not obliged to attend, this goodbye meeting, the separation letter will be mailed to your residence. Usually the HR robots will drone on about cobra, benefits etc and your manager/company is afraid of getting sued, hence the presence of a HR robot in the meeting.
Out of all the useless droids a company can employ the HR robots are the most useless, incompetent, clueless and anti-employee robots. These robots are hired to protect the company, not the employees.

I was disposed back in 2014. Went to work at a partner meeting in the morning and got exactly that, an unscheduled phone call to be in the office some hours later...... Of cause, I understod immidiatly...
I am referring to NetApp's Great Place To Work ranking.
Don't forget to leave a review on Glassdoor about your experience at NetApp too. I'm sure it's been wonderful over the last couple of years with the constant threat of layoffs hanging over your head. There's a reason they dropped from the top 10 down into the 30's.
It won't change anything but at least you'll feel better. :)
@blackvan, thanks for the laugh! I'll pack my brass knuckles.
You'll get a delivery in the morning from fedexp with the separation letter. Of course your manager will call you before it arrives to give you the heads up and make sure you sign it
They usually show up in a black van. Wear heavy clothing that way you don't feel the Tazer.
You'll probably receive an unscheduled phone call or email from your manager in the morning sometime. Don't answer it. Call in sick or take an unscheduled VTO day. Make them work for it.
