I would strive to become an overpaid, undertrained middle management person so my job is safe. If you can't beat them, join them. If you can do neither, pack your shit, tuck your tail, and be ready to go.
That guy scared...doesn't come late anymore!!
@ALl - Who are you talking about? Name names. Don't be a coward.
Are you one of those constantly coming late or taking long breaks?
Part from one team lead...the rest of the team leads are deserving group of leaders. Doesn't mean they can't give in to your demands, they are not good leaders. Everybody thinks they can do a better job, but actually you can't. Sour grapes. Find another job that will make u a manager then
Why aren't the middle management let off?! This is such a TOP heavy hierarchy.
Posting at work complaining about how you don't get opportunity? You can try McDonald's?
Singapore..... How did you determine the people you letting go? Letting go good experienced staffs and keep those that are not doing their work? Constantly coming in late and having Super Long breaks? Talking non-stop on the phone. So long they know who to suck up to they are safe???? Taking Long break with HR so they are protected?
They claimed they want to localize jobs, getting the local to manage BUT they never want to pass it down. Always giving the same reason "oh the local are ready" or "no one want to take up the role". These are all rubbish and excuses! Some very good and experienced people expressed they are willing but were shot down because her his/her manager doesn't like them. They can spend so much on expats but never want to give the jobs to local.
Expat or local? Seems that they have tried for years to localize these jobs, and it never works. Locals don't have the right corporate culture or drive to deal with an American company.
