After over 20 years of dedication, blood, sweat and tears, I put Sprint before everything in my life (big mistake), bad health from stress over my job, overworked, anxiety attacks, depression. I was actually relieved to get my layoff notice this week for the 2 week’s severance, plus the $1,000. A leap of faith. I receive health benefits as well which I need desperately. It wasn't so much getting laid off, it was the way it was DONE.
Very cold, impersonal, reading from a script as if I was a robot. They laid off the best of the best because of our salaries (old timers) and kept the dead beats. The bureaucratic BS is over with, no more dealing with the favoritism, giving high profile work and then taking it away only to give to the favorite ones.
The disrespect, incompetent management who have no clue what talent they have on their teams. Incompetent supv's and managers who have no idea what they are doing harming this company. It is not going to get any better this year for Sprint. Marcelo needs a reality check. Angry? Oh heck yes! I've given many years to this company only to be treated like crap at the end. Didn’t expect roses or anything, but sure didn’t expect to be treated like I was hired yesterday. I was notified one hour before my log in was deactivated, didn't even get a chance to say good-bye to those I've worked with for a long time. I feel bad for those who did not get laid off, get your resumes brushed off and start looking now!
You WILL be impacted in a few months anyway. Sprint will not be a company next year at this rate. Executive salaries are absolutely ridiculous. How about giving up some of that cheddar yourself Marcelo if you really care about Sprint!! Looking forward to that next open door and doing great things! If not, heck, living in my car is better than dealing with the corporate BS I’ve had to deal with for many years.
If you are still there, they really do not care about you at all. Good bye Sprint! Hope you go down in flames for what you’ve done to us!
