The man simply is not a leader....if you want to improve Region 1 it needs new leadership (not that Vinnie led anything .... he just pushed people in front of buses).

No...Otis and DeSanto know full well how Vinnie treats store staff. Otis is just as bad, if not worse.
So.....read between the lines.......Vinnie is the lowest form of human life - Someone that purposely seeks to ruin innocent lives for personal and corporate gain.
As much as I hate this Vinnie fella, I'm certain that he's exactly what Staples is looking for in their leadership. You don't need a motivating leader when you know the company is failing and shrinking. Staples knows that they're gonna be letting go of a lot more employees, so they don't need anyone making those employees feel accomplished or successful. You can't fire successful people because that'll lead to lawsuits. You need to break down the morale of all and accuse them of failing at their jobs, then it's much easier to PIP and let go.
Vinnie is doing his job exceptionally. He's not going anywhere for now unless they have to cutback on more leaders; and when he goes it'll be the end or very near.
